This most recent body of paintings marks Hemingway’s return to portraiture following a departure of more than two decades. These pieces, all pastels, embrace the human stories of the people closest to the artist’s life. Dated 2006 – present, the collection represents some of Hemingway’s most emotionally charged work. He has recently undertaken portrait commissions for Lord & Lady Rothermere.
